I’m a Prix Italia-nominated composer and sound designer with over fifteen years’ experience of composing music and sound scores for drama and documentary on TV, radio, film and in the theatre; my work’s been heard extensively on BBC Radio and BBC TV, Channel 4, ITV and Sky, and at leading theatres around the UK including the National Theatre. I’ve also scored over 30 independent short films.

Here’s a very brief (3-minute) mix of some recent tracks:

Drawing on a huge range of eclectic influences, my work ranges from sweeping orchestral music to abstract electronics, choral writing and quirkily innovative sound design; I’m as equally happy mangling sounds on my laptop or conducting a full recording session for the BBC as I am sitting in a rehearsal room scribbling last-minute cues for actor-musicians or programming and reprogramming full-scale theatre show control systems in the white heat of a technical rehearsal.

I also have a wide network of rather brilliant musicians I’ve worked with repeatedly, as well as a broadcast-standard Logic / Pro Tools-based studio with all the usual bells and whistles.

Most of what I’ll be putting up here will be about what I’m up to music-wise, with a few random thoughts thrown in for good measure; for a more in-depth look / listen to what I do, I’d be delighted if you paid a visit to my website or my SoundCloud
